"We begin by gathering โ€” fallen flowers, leaves, bark, seeds, peels, soil โ€” whatever nature is already offering. Nothing is forced, nothing is taken in excess. The act of collecting itself becomes a quiet observation."โ€” The Team

At Prakriti Eco Play and Triconi Adda, natural colour is not just a material โ€” it is a journey we move through with our hands, our senses, and the seasons. We begin by gathering โ€” fallen flowers, leaves, bark, seeds, peels, soil โ€” whatever nature is already offering. Nothing is forced, nothing is taken in excess. The act of collecting itself becomes a quiet observation: noticing colour in its raw, living form.

Then comes extraction. We crush, soak, boil, rub โ€” slowly watching pigments release from petals and peels, from turmeric roots or pomegranate skins. The water changes, the smell deepens, the colour arrives not instantly, but through patience. It teaches us to wait, to witness transformation. These colours then find their way onto paper and cloth. Children and teens paint, stain, print, and dye โ€” sometimes with intention, sometimes just letting the colour flow. There is no right outcome.

We also create natural frames โ€” using twigs, threads, leaves, and handmade elements โ€” so that the artwork remains held within the same ecosystem it emerged from. Nothing feels separate: the colour, the surface, the frame, the maker. In this process, art is not just created โ€” it is grown, extracted, and lived. It becomes a way of relating to nature, where making is also learning, and colour is not applied, but experienced.
